Wedding Policy

The following are Riverwood’s wedding policy. Due to the busy schedule of our Pastors, Riverwood has adopted the following Marriagepolicies for staff pastors regarding performing wedding ceremonies:

  1. Riverwood Pastors are available to perform wedding ceremonies when both parties are church members, who are regular attenders or personal friends only.
  2. Previously scheduled church events take priority over a request to preside at a wedding. Pastors are also unable to conduct wedding ceremonies on Sundays.
  3. To be married by a Riverwood Pastor, a couple is required to commit to premarital counseling – which usually consists of full participation in one semester of a growth group and a minimum of 8, one-hour premarital counseling sessions.
  4. As a general rule, Riverwood Pastors are only available for weddings in the SE Wisconsin area. Special provisions need to be arranged for exceptions.

If you would like to request one of Riverwood’s Pastors to preside at your wedding, please fill out the form below and click submit. One of our staff will be in touch with you shortly.
